History
First flight (262V1 on Jumo 210 piston engine) 4 April 1941; (262V3 on two Jumo 004-0 turbojets) 18 July 1942; (Me 262A-1a) 7 June 1944; first delivery (A-O to Rechlin) May 1944.
First experimental combat unit (EK 262) 30 June 1944; first regular squadron (8/ZG26) September 1944.
